Live in Luxury On a Budget

I don’t know about you, but I, personally, LOVE all things luxurious- hence this website name lol.

I am all about finding great luxurious finds on a budget so if you want to add a little bit of luxury into your life but want to do so with a strict budget in mind, these are the 5 essentials you need!

  1. Skims Loungewear

Alright, first off, I need to start with this because if you keep up with me on Instagram you know how much I have been on the hunt for cute and elegant clothing that is comfortable!

Someone please explain to me why women’s clothing is either stylish but stiff and uncomfortable or super comfortable but baggy and unflattering?!

I spend a lot of my time working from home, which I love, so I definitely want to be comfy, however, if I am not somewhat dressed up for my day (like still in my jammies) then I am insanely unproductive. On the other hand, if I dress cute for the day then I just count down the minutes until I can change out of my outfit because I am so uncomfortable.

Especially my corporate girlies that go into an office every day, I don’t know how you do it (please share your secrets if you’ve found other comfy clothing that is professional and elegant!)

I went out on a limb and tried the Skims loungewear dresses and I have to tell y’all, I am impressed! They fit true to size, if you’re in between sizes I would go with your smaller size. They are crazy comfortable; I literally wore my dress to bed because it felt like I had nothing on! And they look so sleek and elegant. I love the long sleeve dress the most for when I am going out for work trips, etc. and I have it in black and heather grey. They are less than $90 and are seriously worth the investment because you can literally where it any and everywhere!

2. Fresh Flowers

You probably saw this one coming, right? But truly there is just something about having fresh flowers, or even some greenery & plants that adds a natural beauty to your home.

And it’s an instant mood booster!

Buy some cheap supermarket flowers when you go get your groceries and cut and arrange them to fit perfect for you! They don’t need to be arranged perfectly, I personally think that flowers that are loose and free look much better in homes because it makes the home feel more lived in.

3. Pashion Footwear

Okay I can’t not shoutout Pashion Footwear because when I tell you I am obsessed, it’s an understatement.

Now, I will say these shoes are a little investment. However, the best part about them is that they are a 2-in-1 kind of shoe so you’re really getting two shoes for the price of one. Going back to my earlier statement about women not having enough clothing that’s cute and comfortable. This is a statement shoe that fixes that.

These are convertible heels, meaning you can change them from heels to flats on a whim. You just pop off the heel extension and insert the flat cap and BAM you’re ready to go!

My husband lovingly calls them my “Transformer Shoes” hahaha

Another thing that I really love about these shoes is that once you buy your first pair you really don’t need to buy anymore. They come with the heel and flat compatibility and when you want to change up the look of the heels, you can buy just different heel variations!

I know, I know- it’s genius!

4. Move Slowly

Okay, you may be wondering what I mean by “move slowly.” What I mean is to simply give yourself more time to just be and add those elements of luxury into your life.

For so many of us, from the moment we open our eyes in the morning to the time we lay our head on our pillow at the end of the day we are caring for other people and things- and very rarely for ourselves. Maybe you have kids that you have to get ready for school, or a dog that needs to go out right away, or you go into the office really early, etc.

Whatever it may be for you I can guarantee you that you are always thinking about something other than yourself from the moment you wake up.

And that is so unfair to us. I challenge you to do your best to wake up just a little earlier or stay up just a little later and carve out time for just you (even if it’s only 15 minutes.)

For me, this is during my skincare routine. I take as much time as I have moving slowly through my skincare routine and just being present with myself. Oftentimes I will have an essential oil diffuser going or maybe I light a candle, I put on some music or a podcast, and I make myself feel like the most luxurious and wealthiest person on the planet…just because I give myself the time to do the things that make me happy.

Throw on that face mask or those under eye gel pads and just give yourself a moment that is only for you.

5. Don’t Wait to Use Expensive China

Hear me out! Do you have that nice China that you only take out on special occasions? Maybe it’s the wine glasses or maybe it’s those nice plates you break out for Thanksgiving? Whatever it is, use it more!

I have a cabinet full of beautiful wine glasses of all different sizes and I used to never use them. I realized how silly that was though, because why have nice things if we don’t use them!

I have always been afraid of them breaking or being in the mindset that they are “special” therefore can only be had on “special occasions.” However, I have set out on challenging myself to use them more simply because I can.

I don’t even drink alcohol right now because of a workout challenge I am doing. But I will still get a wine glass out and make my collagen or greens drink in it while I sip on it and feel like I am on top of the world.

Because every day should be special! We don’t need to wait for holidays or birthdays to treat ourselves, we can do it with spending zero money, just by taking out that nice wine glass. And watch how much not only your mood changes but also how your perspective on yourself changes!

That’s all I have for now, thank you so much for reading!
